Stay on the cutting-edge

The July Dispatch — White's Barber Co. There are months when a barbershop just cuts hair. And then there are months like this July — when, if you were paying attention, you could feel the floorboards of 357 shift ever so slightly under something bigger .being built. Let's start with the moment everyone felt: Janeen opened the doors to Daymaker Beauty Boutique. 357 "West" came alive in July with a soft opening that changed the temperature of the whole block. Guests who visited discovered what we've always known — that Janeen brings a warmth and an artistry all her own, and Main St. just got a wonderful new dynamic. Consider July her whisper. The full announcement is coming, and you'll want to be around when it does. That was only the part you could see. Behind the scenes, White's spent July working the long game. We parlayed our industry relationships into something we've been quietly developing for months: the beginnings of a training pipeline out of Fort Detrick — a pathway for barbers with real aspirations to sharpen their skills and, one day, earn a chair at White's. We're not just cutting hair at 357 Main Street. We're building the next generation of the people who will. Speaking of sharpening — the whispers are true. Plans are nearly final for a hands-on cutting class and networking event for our team, with some serious talent walking through our doors to lead it. We can't say everything yet but we can say this: we're looking for models. A range of hair types, and a free experience. Curious? Ask us at your next visit. Spots will not last. July also gave us another one of those nights that doesn't fully translate to print. We hosted our monthly kickback— the kind of easy, genuine gathering that reminds everybody why White’s is more than a barbershop. Somewhere between the conversation and the last record of the night, we finalized the plans to officially roll out Vinyl Vibes — the listening-session side of White's that's been humming just beneath the surface. The needle drops soon. Meanwhile, the clubs kept moving. Literally. The Run Club stacked miles all month, each member logging their own quiet victories — and one loud one. Raise a glass to Kendrick Kenny, who completed a half marathon. Thirteen-point-one miles. That's more than a run; that's a statement. We see you, Kendrick. The Book Club, never to be outdone, plowed through Octavia Butler's “Parable of the Sower” — a story about community, foresight, and building something that lasts amid a changing world. (the selection was intentional.) The discussion lands in August, and it promises to be a good one. --- What August Holds We'll keep some cards face-down, but here's what's circled on the calendar: -Gun range days — precision is precision, in every discipline. -Vinyl Vibes listening sessions — the official rollout. It’s Hip Hop’s anniversary! -The cutting class & networking event— craft, connection, and a few surprises. -Another kickback— you already know. -Back-to-school donation drive — we take care of our own. Start setting supplies aside now. . ..and more we're simply not ready to tell you about yet. July was the pitch. August is the swing. If you've been waiting for a reason to come by, stop waiting. #IfYouKnowYouKnow — White's Barber Co., Main St.

Upcoming Events

Book Club   (Monthly)   This month, we are diving into "Parable of the Sower" by Octavia E. Butler.  It should make for some rich conversation!

Gun Club (LOADING...) There is something invigorating and satisfying about sending rounds down range.  Our time at the range is focused on precision, safety and community.

Kickback  Always BYOB — and bring something to share. The plate is fried fish, a nod to Fish Fridays for those who remember. Miss the first one — it happens. Miss the next one — that’s on you.

Vinyl Vibes  Vibe Curator B. Blanco spins the vins — with guests and members picking sides of their own. Bring Your Own Vinyl (BYOV) and put your taste on the table. The vintage side of the house, music...  the way it is meant to sound.

Run Club  (Bi Weekly)  The community in motion.  Every two weeks at select locations — Even when we don't want to, we know that we MUST!

Master Barbers: Lauro Rodriguez & Brian White

More Than a Haircut, Join the Network

The barbershop is more than a place to get a haircut. It’s where community is built.

At White’s, we’re restoring that tradition — and expanding.  Booking gets you in the door.  Networking keeps you in the room.  Kickbacks, vinyl vibes, books, runs, guns and more!

If you know, you know.
